US WOMEN'S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 (GOLF)
..."Ociffer, I swear to Drunk, I'm not God"...

(Amy Yang already touched her nose. Here she's trying to walk a straight line...)

(Here's Annika Sorenstam praying for Amy to pass the sobriety test because...well...she was supposedly the designated driver...!)

(And this is dear Karrie Webb, ..."There's no mo' gals...I think I drank whatever was left...")
Women’s US Open USGA Golf Championship
The greatest event in the women’s game, the U.S. Women's Open is coming back to Southern Pines, NC.
This years’ US Women’s Open Championship is worth a whooping U$3.1 million and the number one female golfer in the world, Lorena Ochoa is ready to give it all and take that Cup home for the first time. This would be her first major which is really outstanding considering she has played only four full seasons on the LPGA Tour.
Some of the big competitor names that come to mind are Wendy Doolan, the youngster Paula Creamer, previous Cup winner Karrie Webb, Suzann Pettersen, Sweden’s Golf Superstar Annika Sorenstam, Golf Sensation Morgan Pressel, , South Korean pro Mi Hyun Kim, Katherine Hull and the Gold Coast based Korean, Amy Yang and then there's the 12 yr. old Lexie Thompson who became the youngest female player to qualify for the US Women’s Open. Yes, she’s only 12 and yet this girl has already earned her spot and beat Morgan Pressel’s (another 12 yr. old tennis player) previous record of the 2001 Women's Open by a few months.
The renovated golf course at the Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club is simply gorgeous and it seems to be a preferred location for the LPGA and USGA events because of its for bouncy fairways, a set of challenging, topsy-turvy greens and some magnificent scenery as this is the third time the US Women’s Open is hosted at this golf course since 1996 and a total of half a dozen USGA Championships have also been played at this magnificent Donald Ross designed course.
From June 25th to July 1st all eyes are on the USGA Women’s Open Championship and I'll be watching it too. It's time to start making picks; this event really comes and goes so quick you really have to know in advance who's doing good and who doesn't stand a chance. A cruel world even for the babes....
